Thank you for visiting my website. I have three years of professional experience in video editing, particularly working under high-pressure, time sensitive situations at organizations such as NBC, ESPN and CBS. I am used to working with producers, reporters, anchors to make sure all video is delivered exactly how they expect it to be. I am also excellent in tuning in and recording ENG and SNG live shots.

If I’m not editing video, I am writing or reading, and have recently published my first novel. I have always had a desire to write, but never created a story I could really sink my teeth into, so to speak. It was at age 25 that I decided to sit down and really focus on writing a novel.

My personal favorite book is ‘A Brave New World.’ I spend the rest of my time riding my bike, playing tennis, soccer, skimboarding and surfing the web.

Thank you again for taking the time to visit my website.

See my resume.

I am proud to write a ‘’Letter of Recommendation” regarding Preston Orrick, as he is one of the most conscientious and intelligent young men with whom I’ve had the privilege to work.

Preston has shown tremendous knowledge of Videography, Editing, Producing and Presentation with each and every product required of him. I especially enjoy his capability of trying new and different techniques when it comes to a challenge he might encounter.

Preston will be an asset to any company, firm, station, office or position he undertakes…someone will be very lucky to have such a pleasant, qualified and well-mannered young man filling the position he chooses to accept.

With best regards,

Preston Orrick is an extraordinary young man. We have been extremely pleased with his ability as a videographer, his professionalism, and work ethic over the years.

Preston first came to Dogs For Life, Inc. as a volunteer to video our Annual Howl-O-Ween Dog Pawrade in 2010. He has since become an integral part of our non-profit Organization, volunteering his time and talent each year toward this significant fundraiser.

What a joy it has been to be able to post his videos to our website and other media outlets, and allow people to see their dogs “on the big screen.”

With this year’s long anticipated opening of our Assistance Dog Training Center, Preston recently taped and choreographed multiple films of each of our programs, including closed captioning, and then copied onto CD’s for use in our fundraising projects.

In March of this year, Dogs For Life, Inc. recognized Preston Orrick with our Media Award at our Annual Donor & Volunteer Appreciation Ceremony. It was an honor to give Preston this well-deserved recognition.

To conclude, I would like to restate my recommendation for Preston in whatever capacity he may be considered, as he goes above and beyond what is requested of him.

Truly yours,
Shelly Ferger

This is to acknowledge, commend, and thank Preston Orrick sooo much for choosing to volunteer his Media Post Production services for our Public Access Television Program: “Visions For A Child’s Heart”.

New broadcasts for our program had been on hold due to lack of staff and finances to edit many hours of footage, most of which had been shot a year or more ago. In addition to bringing all of our programming current in a very timely manner, Preston’s communication in clarifying details and notifying me of the status of various projects has been an extremely valuable aspect of working together for me!

I am very pleased with the quality of work Preston has provided. Even when there were some issues with the raw footage, and some elements were fragmented, he made us look good! Then after all of that, Preston also helped us to update our YouTube Channel–another time consuming task!

I’m not sure if Preston was aware that May was National Foster Care Awareness Month. Please know that his work has enabled us, a literally non-profit organization, to contribute our voices along with foster care alumni nation-wide in bringing awareness to the world of the trials, resiliency and triumphs of foster youth, and encourage both youth and adults in “the village”. Therefore Preston has been a God-send!

We thank Preston Orrick for doing something special “for a child’s heart” and I hope he will consider working with us in the future.

Sincerely,

Evelyn Polk, LMFT

To Whom It May Concern:

I write this letter of recommendation for Preston Orrick with great enthusiasm. Preston has assisted the Humane Society many times over several years by videotaping animals available for adoption and creating video features that explain many of the services we provide to the animals and people in our community. Whenever we have worked with Preston he has surpassed our expectations.

Preston also created an educational video highlighting the efforts our Humane Society takes to match prospective adopters and pets. He visited the shelter on several occasions and interviewed many of our staff members and volunteers so that he could present this information in the most accurate and detailed manner. We were very pleased with his work and dedication to this project.
Preston is a skilled videographer who is reliable, personable and courteous. He pays attention to detail and cares deeply about helping clients. Preston would surely be an asset to any organization who hires him.

Sincerely,

Janet Winikoff

As Preston’s Course Director for Production Management I would highly recommend Preston as a skilled, hard working, determined and gifted asset to any company looking for quality individuals to join their creative team.

He was a great student, willing to learn and put the hours into a project to get the best results. Preston was not afraid to ask question and was great at taking direction and suggestions to improve his work.

This is a recommendation for the employment of Preston Orrick. He was a student in the news-reporting course I taught this spring of 2011 at Indian River State College. Preston proved that he had the talent and attitude to join a news organization and pursue a career in journalism.

Preston was among the top three reporters and writers in the class. He produced news articles and blog posts that were consistently of publication quality. He also performed very well on spelling and AP style tests, another testament to his skills and talents.

In talking with Preston, I sensed a passion for journalism that many students lack. Some seek school credit, others to pursue careers in public relations or related media fields. Preston clearly wants to be part of a news organization, and that strong interest will make a motivated employee.

Lastly, Preston has a number of multimedia skills that set him apart from other students. I know that visuals play a big role in both your online and print products. His abilities in this area should help your organization create quality work.

Again, I recommend Preston to your news organization. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

As CEO and co-owner of Lap of Luxury Clothing, It is my pleasure to recommend, Preston Orrick for employment. Preston has been an intern with Lap of Luxury for 6 months. During his time here, Preston has impressed me with his eagerness to learn, and ability to go above and beyond the tasks that are given to him.
